The Assurance Associate will be responsible for preparing financial statements with disclosures, applying basic areas of GAAP as necessary and documenting, validating, testing and assessing various control systems.
The Assurance Senior will be responsible for preparing financial statements with disclosures, applying basic areas of GAAP as necessary and documenting, validating, testing and assessing various control systems. This position may also be involved in reviews, forensic and agreed-upon procedure engagements. Position requires a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and a minimum of (3) years prior experience in auditing.
The Assurance Supervisor will be responsible for coordinating the day-to-day "in-charge" duties of planning, fieldwork and "wrap-up" to include the preparing of financial statements with disclosures, applying most areas of GAAP as necessary and documenting, validating, testing and assessing various control systems. This position is also responsible for leading a number of auditors, instructing them in work to be performed, reviewing the work done, and directing necessary revisions. The Assurance Supervisor must make decisions on all but the most unusual accounting and auditing matters. When such problems arise, outline them for the manager or partner and then acts on advice.
The Assurance Manager is responsible for supervising, directing and reviewing the results through the delegation of tasks throughout the planning, field work and “wrap-up” stages of an Audit client engagement. In this role, the Assurance Manager is charged with marketing, networking and business development within an area of expertise, as well as the responsibility of ensuring engagement profitability. Traditionally responsibilities of the Assurance Manager will include advising the client on various economic and regulatory risks within their industry, resolving complex accounting issues, apply GAAP and GAAS consistently within complex situations, writing technical consultation memos on GAAP / GAAS issues, and documenting, validating, testing and assessing various financial reporting control systems.
The Senior Staff Accountant performs compilations, write up, training, and consulting work assigned with a minimum of assistance on a variety of clients over a variety of industries. Often leads a number of staff accountants, instructs them in work to be performed, reviews the work done, and directs necessary revisions. Is able to make decisions on all but the most unusual accounting and tax matters. When such problems arise, outlines them for the principal and then acts on advice.
Is able to set up time budgets on jobs previously handled and can lead staff accountants to employ methods that will accomplish objectives timely. Displays professional conduct, showing confidence and ease in the presence of staff and client representatives.
